Sleepless in Paradise
all the little, helpless angels weep
but by your bed are smiling demons
and you, you scared one are crouching
human to the core, pleading and crying
Then suddenly everything changes
Whatever made you raise your head
why did you smile at those sinister ones?
Made their claws grow, their fangs too
flapping black wings set the air afire
still, you kept smiling, not afraid anymore
Don't deny it, you longed to taste the fire
no more Paradise-appletrees for you
fire to devour and to spew dragonlike
that's what you want as your heart blackened
sick of whiteness you sought refuge in blackness
