The landscape opens up
there it is, blue with green
yellow with red or brown
all set on an earthy-grey background
beautiful and very familiar
year by year, this is the scenery
returning like a determined ghost
out haunting the murder scene for revenge
sometimes the sky turns grey with clouds
in thunderstorms it turns black with white
always changing, still always the same
