The world changed overnight
what was is buried deep in white
the colour of death and sick innocence
snow on snow, layer by layer of killer-snow
all of it whipped together by icy winds
what a depressing sight, emptiness incarnate
Suddenly my eye catches something
a small patch of snow, dotted with colours
surprise, surprise, a letter lost in the snow
a stamp in merry colours, a name, an address
what a joy, the world is still moving in words
someone broke the spell of rigid whiteness
he wrote something and here it is
lost, but retrieved and waiting for me to post it
as I do the world start breathing again
