Sadly enough, bad experiences stay with us
they get implanted into the cells of our bodies
here it is, those bad memories of abuse
of pain, deceit and lost love
another one, even harsher, may ruin your life
you find it embedded in your backbone
here it sits, tapping your soul
each heartbeat brings it back to you
tick-tock, bad memory, tick-tock, suffer eternally
This sadness in your soul doesn't go away
each time the tick-tock sounds the sadness grows
that brings a blackened timbre to your life
you only hear and sense the growing sadness
all you can do is to set this thorn in your soul free
to pull it out and to forgive the unforgivable
that's harder than you think, maybe all to hard
but then, nobody said it would be easy
