My hands lead lives of their own
wishes and desires rule them
as they do with my entire body
for instance, my hair wants to cover you
to wrap you in Samson-strong ropes
my arms want to embrace you
to hold you lovingly tight
My heart plays havoc with my brain
it wants to shed love and tenderness
my brain's wisdom is overruled by the heart
no-no, it says whatever was done is forgiven
the brain is sizzling with plans of its own
none of them altogether loving and forgiving
a body at war with itself
loving and hating at the same time
