Crows, they say, dark things
flapping wings, pointed beaks
bigger than flies, smaller than me
screams like tortured demons
Ignore them, they say, and I do
but they come in flock
almost greeting me like I'm one of them
makes me shrink back as they dive
these black missiles explode into colours
flashing black, greenish, reddish hues
flooded by colours I'm dazzled
they go for glinting lights, like in eyes
"No-no," I cry as they land on my head
hair entangled in birds' feet I lift
carried off, feet dangling, mouth an "O"
whatever happened to me?
I swim in air, dive in air, flap my new wings in air ...
