He walks the paths
all of them handmade
every day he walks them
back and forth, back and forth
sometimes they engulf him
their teeth are invisible, but sharp
somehow they are sharks dressed as paths
they eat people
however, to him the dirt is furniture
all of it is called "home"
actually, the paths and the dirt are a home
after all this is where he lives
day by day
an entire lifetime
