How easy it is to forget the facts of life and love
perhaps one should make a knot of oneself to remember
what shouldn't be forgotten
or perhaps one should un-knot all those false reminders of "facts"?
By now I know that not even all of me can bring you solace
nor give you all that you need
to give oneself, but not be the right gift, what a curse
no doubt about it, that knot hurts the most
