With these ceaseless selfish episodes, you see the deadly tolls...
From leakin' chemicals to dreaded DDT on vegetables
The threats we pose have seen some species decrease---see this constant danger!
"Cause what we're facing's the extinction of different species' populations
We gotta stop this desecration, devastation of our nations'...
Trees and lands...so best we understand and watch what we are takin'...
From Mother Nature, sometimes human nature's hard to comprehend
There's devastation in this planet, it's paramount to understand...
That when we take more than we needed, resources they get depleted
See the torture any moment when ecosystems get defeated
Best believe it, there ain't no secret: biodiversity gets threatened
See our actions are like weapons---all this apathy is spreadin'!!!
We're forgettin'...if we'd recycle we'd be savin' lots of trees
And would you people pretty please: keep radiation off the seas!
We people really gotta seek to keep the waste right off the streets
When any waste just rots---it reeks! With rains they wash right off to streams
And it's ridiculous just to see the mercury that's in the fish
Uncertainty plays into mix, and certainly we're in the mist
It ain't a myth that all of this can get right into foods of others...
Thru your brothers' thru your cousins' thru your mothers' thru your fathers'...
And thru other species feedin' on the fish that's in our waters
From one species to another...we're susceptible to suffer
Expressed in deadly tolls are numbers, death is what you will uncover
It's inevitable you'll suffer---this is what you call a bummer!
And another major issue is the one called GLOBAL WARMING
It's the one we've been ignorin', now it's not one worth ignorin'
Here's a warning: look at winter just like recently in Europe
You can see deciduous trees were bloomin'---you can see the tulips!
Don't be clueless, this is happenin' across the world itself
There's lots of CO2 expelled, there's lots of chemicals expelled...
From all the smoke stacks, we should know that acid rains can kill our flora
"Cause the rain's their source of water, acid rain is total torture
Plus our forests are just bein' cut...Yo we ain't cognizant!!!...
Or fuckin' conscious that this action just depletes our oxygen/
And plus it's troublin' we're lovin' cars---forgoing public transit!/
In this world we're causin' damage---this is totally not fantastic!!!/
Understand this: "We're NOT boss---we're part of the ECOLOGY!"/
There's other species---HONESTLY!!! We gotta heed REGARDLESSLY!/
But what we see's hypocrisy of policies---this bothers ME!!!/
And how we see ecology's undoubtedly a FALLACY!!!!!/
