In the place where you are
And its not all that far ,
To sit down by yourself
with a book from the shelf .
What a wonderful way
To begin every day ,
with a chapter or two
from the old or the new .
In a place far away
At the end of the day
There’s a room with a book
If you’ve time take a look .
In a quiet corner there ,
There’s an old wooden chair .
and there’s just enough light
to read through the dark night .
In a place we’ve agreed
Just to sit down to read
From the good book and pray
Anytime night or day ,
There’s a written record
Of the life of our Lord ,
And a testament there
For the whole world to share .
