I don’t want to be caught up in the frantic pace I’m in ,
I want to be by your side and see the new day begin .
As the moss grows near fairy trees \
in Glens no one can own ,
slow me down so I can see the green hills of my home .

 

Slow me down so I can hear the beating of my heart ,
then somewhere in the silence
I will find a place to start
where we can walk together in the sunshine

 and the rain 
you and I together in purple heights again .

 

 

Purple heights is where I’ll be
when ever you are here with me  ,

 

 

Over bridges where rivers flow
 then up the mountains we will go
 to golden

sunsets in the evening glow ,
 its purple heights yeah and  time goes slow      

 

 

 

When you’re seated on the summit
and a mountain is your throne like a ruler

of a kingdom where peace is all your own ,
that’s when you realize just  how

wealthy we can be , 
living in the purple heights
where everything is free   .             

 

Purple heights is where I’ll be when ever you are here with me .
