Poetry Structures Of Easter : Creative Writing

 Structure 1

 Mirror Loop

This is a style I created myself.

The structure of this poem is written so that the poem can be read from the beginning to end and then back again from it's end to the beginning.

The poem can be of any theme, but must have proper meter.

 Love In Vain

Mercy , no .

Hands and feet had nails driven deep.

Body numbed and succumbed

Side speared.

Blood lost .

Christ cried out

Father forgive

Jesus had died

Lips were sealed

Glory that God had revealed.

Christ glorified .

Glorified Christ .

Revealed had God that Glory .

Sealed were lips.

Died had Jesus .

Forgive Father out cried Christ .

Lost blood .

Speared side .

Succumbed and numbed body .

Deep driven nails had feet and hands .

No mercy .

Structure 2

 Acrostic

This is a structure where the first letter of each line of the poem
make a word and can be constructed as the title or theme of the poem .      Good Friday By Paul McCann   Gods only son .
On the cross hung .
On Calvary .
Dead his body .

Forsaken not .
Remember that .
Incarnate love .
Did rise above .
Alleluia .
Yahweh we pray   

    Structure 3 

 Alphabet In Sequence

  This a poem where each consecutive word
begins with each consecutive letter of the alphabet from a to z .

Jesus Knelt Lifting Many Nobly Offered Prayers .  

Questioning ,

Reasoning .

Surely Therewith Understanding

  Structure 4         

  Doubled Up Acrostic

This structure I made up is called doubled up acrostic .

It is an improvisation of the acrostic form and the following rules apply .

The first letter of each line and the last letter of each line make up the title of the poem to make a word which can be constructed as the title of the poem .    

God Forgives

Gods only son upon the cross hunG .
One suffering his song a solO .
Did those who saw and heard understanD

For us who remember are in grieF .
Once as it was a long time agO .
Respond to the soulful song we heaR
Grant us your forgiveness & healinG .
Inspire the thoughts between you and I .
Vocalize our songs with words of luV .
Each day there is an amen we sharE .
Singing praise to God who forgives uS .    

  Structure 5  The Monologue      

 Monologue is a piece of oral or written literature

(eg, a story, poem or part of a play) spoken by one person who exposes inner thoughts and provides insights into his or her character.        

 My Example    

 The Good Thief

The day came to Calvary three crosses stood on a hill. 

The crowd began to gather, 

before the blood began to spill .

Two others and I were sentenced  ,

the cross could not resist.

But one was an innocent man.

How could they have done this ?

For this is the man who knelt down and wept by olive trees .

He was whipped like me until he fell on his bended knees .

They nailed him to a cross  ,

like me but  did not question why . Upon a cross with outstretched arms ,

he'd suffer then he'd die .  

But I am just a common thief and they've misunderstood .  

Beside me Jesus sacrificed his life  .

Impaled on wood .  

A crown of thorns upon his head  the King Of Cavalry .  

Remember in your Kingdom Lord 

a good thief just like me .
