Mothers are taken for granted because they’re always there .
Its in the simple things they do
that show how much they care .
Like when they stand cooking all day or hanging up the wash
Or rush you off to the doctor when they’ve spotted a rash ,
Then with tender care they’ll drag you half way across the floor
Or they’ll leave you in a pram in the snow
outside the door
They’ll scrub your skin
until the smile runs away from your face ,
They’ll kick you in the backside
and say there’s no time to waste .
So get to bed and say your prayers
And don’t wet the bed .
Its funny to see some of the things that your Mother said .
That fine tooth comb .
Wiping snots off and cleaning out your ears,
A Mothers love never dies it gets stronger through the years .
