When a loved one passes on we must accept
On Memorial Day we gladly pay our respects
They are simply away but live on in our hearts
Feel them with you, you are together not apart
So take time out from your busy day
Adorn pretty flowers where your loved one stays
On Memorial Day let us close our eyes and pray
For those who offer their life to keep our country safe
Memorial Day what a wonderful day
To remember our loved ones in a special way
