Cowboy on a horse under moonlit sky
Watching cattle they're restless tonight
Day and night he follows this course
A happy heart shows no remorse
A cowboy day is long and hard
Faithfull horse and cowboy seldom do part
Another cowboy takes his place
Head to camp and grab a break
Time for chow and maybe a nap
Never for long then back in the saddle
Ride back out for another turn
Fellow cowboy howdy's often heard
High in the saddle he hums a tune
Just a shadow beneath the stars and moon
Such goes this cowboy's life
To him pure joy and sheer delight
