He is just a plain simple cowboy
Two stepping and waltzing his favorite joy
He lives his life the true cowboy way
That special code to guide his day
Though life has dealt an occasional battle
He is happy just being with cattle
Then one day his life did change
He was injured oh what a shame
But this cowboy is true at heart
On a new trail would he soon depart
He is wonderful with a kind caring soul
Wouldn't take much for a heart to be stole
He rides a sweet mare his pretty Lady Red
Often down Allen Street quite a site I bet
To ride along would be so sweet
If only for real besides just a dream
Just a simple cowboy is he
A very good friend indeed
Not to mention a wonderful poet
I wish all my friends to know it
This poem is for William
Who's simply one in a million
