The poem you wrote about your hurt little girl
Touched my heart and put emotions into whirl
Her Daddy's love so strong and true
Why can't all Daddy's be just like you
I read your pain and then felt my own tears
Her Daddy's love she'll know throughout the years
Not all children feel their Daddy's love
Your children wear it like a glove
Through the ups and downs that life does bring
With their Daddy's love they'll forever sing
I wrote this poem for a very special friend
Who knows I'll be there till the very end
