They talked about the weather,
about friends and family;
they talked about their childhood,
of the way things used to be.
They talked about religion,
of sports and government;
they talked at times of money,
how much of it they'd spend.
They talked about their fantasies,
of God and right and wrong;
they talked about their feelings,
and they always got along.
They talked about so many things,
that folks don't often share;
but there's no taboo subject,
for friends who truly care.
