Time For Change
Forty seven million are uninsured in America,
to me it's more than shameful, it's a travesty;
it's the result of a broken government,
America is no longer the way it used to be.
Hard working Americans living paycheck to paycheck,
one health care crisis away from bankruptcy;
forced to go without needed medical treatment,
when will politicians end the insanity?
We can give away billions in foreign aid,
we can bail out some big corporation;
we can spend billions more in an unpopular war,
but we can't get health care in this nation.
I want the health care that the congress has,
or they can go without the way that I do;
maybe then, their priorities will change,
and ALL Americans will have health care too!
The billions that we have spent in Iraq,
would have supplied the money needed;
stop policing the world, no more foreign aid,
until change in health care is completed.
Big business can take their global economy,
and stick it where the sun doesn't shine;
to hell with their unfair trade agreements,
it's not too late, it's time to draw the line.
When we have extra we'll help others out,
starting with those who stood by our side;
as for the rest, they can fend for themselves,
and get NOTHING until respect is supplied!!!!
