Santa Drives A Hot Rod : Holiday Poetry

written by Poet : Cheylinn1

Santa retried Rudolph,

and packed away his sleigh;

Santa bought a hot rod,

a souped up Chevrolet.

At first he wanted a red Corvette,

but there wasn't enough room;

so he settled for a Nova,

one that would really zoom.

He quickly contacted the police,

en every country, every state;

so he could drive as fast as lightening,

there's no time to hesitate.

His elves toss presents out at each house,

all you see is a bright blur;

Santa's too busy shifting gears,

listening to that engine purr.

And althought it takes a little longer,

for him to get his job done;

it's a lot easier on the reindeer,

and for Santa much more fun.
