Fallen Leaves : Love Poetry

written by Poet : Brazilian_Barbie

There is a Sun tapping on our bedroom window
Uninvited
Daytime is rude like that sometimes
I’m annoyed.
There is a blanket stuck to me like skin
Stretch marks are stretching
Thighs are rubbing
As if fire were invented in between them
Breasts are wishing to be 16 again
And my hands… are itching to stop the madness;
I run to draw the curtains….
He
Rushes over to keep them open,

Says:
“Let me see you”

I couldn’t believe it.
He stays focused.
The Sun &
him
engaging in the most intense staring match I have ever witnessed
But
He doesn’t move away
Simply adjusts his eyesight
And I wish he would
Stop Squinting
There is something about the way his eyes survey my curves that make me self conscious
I wished him blind again
Who needs visuals?
Fingertips can be useful in the dark
Rough looking shapes appear smoother that way.
I wished the sun blackened like moon stripped skies
He Keeps Squinting
I wished the Damn Sun would lose the staring match…
Wished a cloud would interrupt his focus
And if he opened his eyes wide enough
Perhaps I would fall from in between his lashes
Maybe land on his lips, tasting me would be better
Flaws don’t have a flavor

Says:
“Drop the Blanket”

And
I do.
It falls
Like leaves in autumn
Unhurried and reluctant
My Fallen foliage
… Kisses collarbone first
Then hangs from my breasts like a Childs first meal
It didn’t even touch my middle
Just fell
Like old women in church
Dramatic and beautiful

The Sun is smiling in my room now

It took a seat on my bed and watched me melt
This was a moment for me
I stood there
Watched his movements
Hands racing towards my breast

Says:
“Don’t cover anything”

I stand still
Letting him admire imperfections
Everything is moving within me
And all I can do is hope my thighs are behaving
He moves closer
And I die a little inside

The Sun is smiling a little wider

It mocks my insecurities
Decides to shine on every thing the stars had always avoided
My eyes retain water like wells
Hands still beside me
Buckets on standby
Not ready to collect tears yet

He stands so close I can feel his thoughts

Touches me everywhere the light shines
Every scar nature painted on me
Red & White Stripe masterpieces
Where hip meets thigh
She seemed to like to draw there the most
He touches
Where the light
Touches

Finger tips

Sun Rays

They mock me together
I die some more

He says:
“I just wanted to see if the sun would kiss you in front of me to make me jealous”

He smiled.
The Sun Smiled.

& I looked @ my fallen leaves
Lying at my feet….
Bare Like the Trees in Winter
& for the 1st time…
I felt alive …and
I smiled.
